Meet the Romodels
Meet our inspiring Romodels — real people doing exciting, innovative, stereotype-challenging roles across Wales and beyond. Our latest additions include Adam, an inventor tackling ocean pollution by designing a water filter for washing machines, and Harry, the youngest-ever professional footballer to play for the Wales national team. You’ll also meet Romodels working as a marine ecologist (Sam, G), an underwater gardener (Evie), a football referee (Saffron), a green trainer entrepreneur (Sam, C), beekeepers (Emma, Liv and Abigail), and 3D Printing engineer and programmer (Morgan and Bleddyn).
We’ll continue adding new Romodels throughout the 2025/26 academic year — starting with four exciting launches in the autumn term: Levi, a Welsh star who recently performed in the musical Hamilton; Helen, who was homeless at 15 and is now number two at one of the UK’s largest property companies; the Space Forge team, an innovative Cardiff-based company launching satellites and growing crystals in space for semiconductors; and Emily, the illustrator behind the new Twits Next Door book. Following these, we plan to add ten more Romodels across the rest of the school year.
